Beat The Lonely
Today, seeing as I am in the perfect situation to, I have been pondering loneliness. That thing which can sneak up on you and wrap its arms around you and bury you in a nightmarish scenario from which there is little hope of escape. Sorry to start off all depressing, but that’s how it feels, right? And as I am sure you’re aware, it’s really not very nice.
The thing is, for me at least, loneliness is something that can be avoided. Often, people who are lonely cite the world as being against them, but in fact there are ways to make sure that the damage is limited. Such as:
1) When you start to feel lonely, call up it support london or someone, anyone. Call up a friend, it doesn’t matter who. But DO call someone, or otherwise the loneliness will go on forever. You can be its master and kick it into shape, you know.
2) If you’re lonely, then there is always a way to take your mind off it. You could read a book, watch a film, listen to music or create some art. Even if you’re not artistic then it’d be a great start, right? All of these things are better than doing nothing whatsoever and making the loneliness even worse.
3) You can always write things down to make sense of them. If you feel pretty depressed then writing things down is a great way of working out why. At the end of it you’ll also realise that time has flown for a change, which means that the day is moving faster and hopefully you feel less lonely than you did.
